OK, so I’m doing two posts in one day. I was a sewer before I became a “quilter” so I want to include that passion in this forum. If you have any general sewing charity projects that aren’t quilting, I’d love to hear about them. I found this program from Nancy’s Notions on FaceBook (yea FaceBook addiction). It is called “Little Dresses for Africa”. You make little sundresses out of yardages of fabric (or pillowcases) and mail them to Nancy’s Notions and they mail them to Africa for them. What a great cause. The little orphan girls get a nice dress to make them feel special.
Here are the project instructions if you are interested:

I’ve made two already and they are so cute and fun to make. Easy to make with stash fabric, some double fold bias tape and elastic. What a fun way to get together and do something nice for someone.
For those of you without a “stash” (yeah right you say), you can also order a kit that makes 3 of the dresses from Nancy’s Notions.
Would love to hear from you!
